Tell us your story!

Whether or not you’ve been in a “long distance” relationship, almost all of us have experienced times when we were far away from those we’d rather be closer to. Some of us have come up with wonderful ways to feel close together, while being far apart. Some people video chat, others read through a book together… whatever it is, share your story with us! This is by no means limited to romantic relationships, let’s hear how you stay close to anyone you care about.

Using Harold Fletcher and Miranda July’s “Learning to Love You More” project (now on display at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art) as a structural model, I’m looking for people to submit documentation of their process to be archived on this website. Have fun and be creative.

Share a morning in a café miles apart? Take pictures of yourselves there and send them in along with your story.
Schedule to see the same movie at the same time, while time zones apart? Take a snapshot of yourselves in front of the theatre and send them in!

Then, take a look through the archive and respond to other processes by trying them yourself, and send documentation back in to the archive!

Please email your submissions to INeedYouSoMuchCloserProject (at) gmail.com. You don’t need to include any personal information if you don’t want to, but please consider including the your locations.
